HOW TO MAINTAIN A PROPER FOCUS IN DIGITAL MINISTRY

As we continue to work diligently on our ministry’s marketing efforts, we at MII want to take a moment to remind all of us about the importance of maintaining balance in our approach. While we strategize, create, and execute our campaigns, it’s vital to remember that true success in our efforts comes most easily when we submit our plans to God in prayer and ask for His blessing.

Recently, the MII team has seen tremendous growth in one campaign that has been a challenge to launch. After an extended time of prayer and fasting, asking God to bless our efforts, the campaign has taken off! What’s more, the team has drawn closer together in the process.

We’ve recently reflected on the teachings from John Mark Comer's "Practicing the Way," which emphasizes the importance of spiritual disciplines in our daily lives. One key takeaway is the need for consistent prayer and reliance on God, rather than solely depending on our own strength and knowledge.

Here are a few points we’d like us to keep at the forefront of our minds as we move forward:

  1. Submit Our Goals to God: Before launching any new campaign or initiative, let's take time to bring our plans before God in prayer. We should ask Him to guide our decisions, bless our efforts, and align our work with His will.

  2. Balance Effort with Rest: While we’re passionate about our mission, it’s crucial that we also embrace the rhythm of work and rest that Comer discusses. Taking time to rest and reflect allows us to recharge and ensures that we’re not operating out of exhaustion but out of a place of spiritual renewal. Are you honoring the Sabbath and keeping it Holy?

  3. Rely on God’s Strength: It’s easy to rely on our skills, knowledge, and strategies. However, let’s remind ourselves that true impact comes when we lean on God’s strength. Regular prayer is essential to keep us grounded and attuned to His leading.

  4. Consistent Prayer: Let’s make it a habit to pray not just at the start of our projects but consistently throughout. Whether it’s a quick prayer before meetings or dedicating time each day to seek God’s wisdom, let’s ensure that prayer is woven into the fabric of our work.

As we continue to reach out and engage with our audience, let’s remember that our effectiveness is amplified when we acknowledge our need for God’s guidance and blessing. We encourage each of you to take this to heart as we move forward in our ministry together.

Thank you for your dedication and hard work. MII is grateful to be part of such a passionate and talented community of digital ministry leaders, and we look forward to seeing how God will work through you as we seek Him in all we do.
